When my wife and I decided to start a business, we decided right from the start that we wanted to sell quality products.  We set out on a search for the best wind chimes that we could find.  What we found was truly amazing.  We found bamboo wind chimes shipped in from the isle of Bali.  We found several companies right here in the United States with very interesting stories, and better yet, very beautiful and great sounding wind chimes.  We have received much feedback and I think that my wife and I did a great job assembling the best of the best wind chimes that are out there.  We continue our search and are adding to our list all the time.  This is the fun part, finding new and unique sources for wind chimes.  The artists that make these are truly gifted and inspirational.

Can you really Save Money on-line?

Is it possible to actually save money and find a great deal on-line?  More and more, people are turning toward the internet to do a growing amount of their shopping.  Reasons range from better selection, finding the exact item they are looking for, not settling for close, convenience, gift giving…  the list goes on and on.  One thing I have noticed is that the bargain hunter still thrives, even on-line.  Coupon codes, automatic discounts, name your own price, close outs, end of season sales, free shipping, that’s what they are looking for.

For instance, www.WindSongWindChimes.com is offering free shipping on a particular manufacturer of wind chimes, Music of the Spheres.  It is a short promotion lasting only the weekend, designed to attract the seasoned on-line shopper looking to get a great deal.  Store owners hope that the lost revenue is recaptured at a later date by generating happy, loyal customers now, and will work hard to keep them loyal and happy.

Bargin hunting is not a thing of the past at all.  It’s just changing with the times.

Therapeutic Value of chimes

It did not take me long to find evidence of the therapeutic value of wind chimes.  Although I have benefited from it for many years, I was astounded by the many uses for chimes in the cause of therapy.  For example, the excerpt that I found today about a European Hospital;

Kay O’Keeffe, Director of Nursing at St. Olivers said “Many of our residents suffer from Parkinsons disease, Alzheimers disease or the effects of strokes or arthritis.  As mental functions decline with many of these conditions people operate more on a sensory level.  Positive sensory stimulation in the form of smell, touch, colour, sound of garden insects & birds or the wind blowing chimes is of enormous therapeutic value to these residents.  The gardens also provide memories from the past in what is now known as reminiscence therapy”.

Some of the comments from residents and family members include “it is magical to see the beautiful birds and colourful butterflies congregate in the garden”, “the garden helps to calm me when I become uptight”

It never ceases to amaze me how our mind and our senses are so intertwined with the natural healing process.  The power of wind chimes.
